This force ability is OP… why didn’t the Jedi use it during the Clone Wars?

The Jedi as individual combatants on the frontlines of the clone wars battlefield were awe-inspiring to watch, but their true value in a military force is their ability to utilize a power known as battlefield meditation. Today we take a look at this rare force ability and why it was absent during the Clone Wars.

Why The Sith FEARED THIS Tiny Dagger More Than Any Lightsaber

The Shikkar was a rare and disturbing Sith weapon from Star Wars Legends, originating in the Fate of the Jedi series, and stands apart from traditional lightsabers through its reliance on dark side alchemy rather than kyber crystals. Forged using Sith rituals, Shikkars often featured translucent, jagged blades infused with corrupted energy, capable of channeling pain, fear, and Force-based effects rather than pure plasma. These weapons reflected an older, more alien offshoot of Sith philosophy one that viewed the Force as something to be harvested, bound, and weaponized through ritual rather than discipline. The Shikkar embodies the grotesque ingenuity of ancient Sith craftsmanship and serves as a symbol of how far Sith experimentation could stray from both Jedi and modern Sith traditions.

Canonizing This Fan-Favorite Legends Jedi

Here’s the latest from: Star wars – The Direct

According to a new insider’s report, one fan-favorite Star Wars Legends Jedi is being lined up to become canon. When taking over the franchise in 2012, Disney cordoned off a section of the Star Wars Extended Universe, making everything outside the mainline movies and TV shows released to that point no longer canon, dubbing these stories Legends. Since then, Lucasfilm has brought several popular names from Legends into canon with new stories set in the galaxy far, far away, including Grand Admiral Thrawn, Darth Revan, and HK-47.

However, many beloved characters like Darth Malak, Jacen Solo, and Kyle Katarn still remain locked behind the Legends branding, meaning they (and the stories they are associated with) are not considered part of the Star Wars canon. That could be changing for one name soon, though, as a new report suggested Luke Skywalker’s wife, Mara Jade, may be primed for canonization…

This is probably Star War’s next animated series

The Bad Batch final season is coming to an end and I believe the creators of have been using the show to test out a new animated series surrounding the clone underground led by Captain Rex. Just like how the Bad Batch was spun off from the clone wars, I believe it makes financial sense for Disney to take this route.

This Week, In a Galaxy Far, Far Away: Remembering Carl Weathers

Here’s the latest from Star Wars News Net

Welcome back to “This Week, In a Galaxy Far, Far Away“, in what is likely going to be our saddest edition yet. It’d been a slow news week and though I initially struggled with finding a topic for today’s edition, I finally settled on discussing recent reports surrounding streaming data from Nielsen. But then, the news about Carl Weathers hit on Friday and I had to change course.

Before we get to all of that, some plugs for other stuff I was working on this week. It’s been a busy week at MovieNewsNet.com, where I reviewed three films from last week’s Sundance online edition: breakout hit A Real Pain, this year’s winner In the Summers, and Hulu’s Suncoast. I was also able to see the new Daisy Ridley movie Sometimes I Think About Dying, which was pretty good! (It’s slowly expanding to more and more theaters in the US.) Last but not least, I was finally able to complete my top 24 most anticipated movies of the year!…

This Party’s Just Getting Started.

Here’s the latest from: StarWars.Com

Meet Mace before he was a Jedi Master.

StarWars.com Team

Mace Windu has proven to be one of Star Wars’ most popular Jedi. From hanging out with Yoda on the Jedi Council, to besting Jango Fett, to taking on Darth Sidious, few guardians of peace and justice have left as great an impact. (He even teamed up, buddy-cop style, with Jar Jar Binks in a memorable Star Wars: The Clone Wars whodunnit. Bombad.) Little is known about Mace’s younger years, however, and thanks to Marvel that will soon change.

The House of Ideas’ Star Wars: Mace Windu miniseries kicks off next month, dialing back the clock for a Mace story set before the Clone Wars — and before the purple-sabered Windu was even a Jedi Master. In StarWars.com’s first look at issue #1, Mace arrives at the ocean moon of Devshi, hot on the trail of some escaped droid convicts…

This Week, In a Galaxy Far, Far Away: January 22, 2024

Here’s the latest from Star Wars News Net

Welcome back to a new edition of “This Week, In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.” Is anyone else tired of seeing the same Ryan Gosling GIF from the Critics Choice Awards on social media? I thought so! It’s been an interesting week in Star Wars, for sure, even if we still have no news on The Bad Batch season 3 — although, according to Jennifer Corbett, something should get announced soon.

We have a lot to discuss today, as I’ll be running a status report on all confirmed Star Wars movies. As always, let me know your thoughts, opinions, comments, and complaints in the comments section or via our Contact page. The idea of these weekly articles is to have a direct connection with our readers as we recap the week in the franchise with some analysis of what’s going on. Let us begin…

This Week, In a Galaxy Far, Far Away | December 18th, 2023

Here’s the latest from Star Wars News Net

Happy Sunday, and welcome back to my weekly rant called “This Week, In a Galaxy Far, Far Away“. There was no shortage of things to talk about last week, but today, it’s going to be a slightly slower edition. As always, thanks for stopping by, and share the joy with your loved ones if you enjoy it! Today, we’ll discuss Star Wars sequel trilogy plans and how Netflix’s big viewership data dump could affect the Streaming Wars.

This past week has been the traditional busy time where everyone is trying to get their things in order before the holiday break, and that also happened to me. So many things to do, so little sleep. But I’m on the other side now, so hopefully, you’ll be soon too. Looking ahead, we have a few days before Christmas Day with a ton of new stuff, from Zack Snyder’s Star Wars wannabe Rebel Moon (which is getting destroyed by early reviews) to the event of the month for the Star Wars News Net *staff: the release of the Percy Jackson series on Disney Plus…

Oh these websites with staff!! What are staff?!! 😉

It’s been a relatively quiet week in the Star Wars galaxy, at least compared to last week, but we still had quite a few of interesting quotes from several people tied to the franchise. Let’s break it all down, beginning with three headlines you may have missed….

This Week, In a Galaxy Far, Far Away | November 27th, 2023

Here’s the latest from Star Wars News Net

If you live in the US, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, and either way, I hope you had a wonderful week. It wasn’t a holiday where I live, but I still enjoyed some time tuning out the news and the entertainment business (other than watching Napoleon on Friday) for a few days. And though it seemed like it would be a slow week for Star Wars, it was most definitely not, as Lucasfilm and Daisy Ridley dropped a one-two-punch on Tuesday. The effects of these stories reverberated into the weekend with more interviews from Dave Filoni and Taika Waititi. Let’s try to unpack it all!

Star Wars Quote of the Week

“It’s not what I expected, but I’m very excited,” Daisy Ridley told Collider in a recent chat discussing her new feature film, which will mark the return of Rey Skywalker in a story set 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker. There is a lot to unpack from the few sentences she said about the project, but this is definitely the one that’s been circulating the most. Prior to this comment, she also pointed out that “The story is really cool”…
