This is probably Star War’s next animated series

The Bad Batch final season is coming to an end and I believe the creators of have been using the show to test out a new animated series surrounding the clone underground led by Captain Rex. Just like how the Bad Batch was spun off from the clone wars, I believe it makes financial sense for Disney to take this route.

Cal Kestis’ Next Adventure

Here’s the latest from: StarWars.Com

When Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order arrived in November 2019, Cameron Monaghan had an easy holiday gift for family and friends. Monaghan had played the game’s protagonist, Cal Kestis, a Padawan survivor of Order 66, so it made for something of a perfect present. But while seeing himself in a game didn’t faze the actor, the same can’t be said for his loved ones.

“I’d go over [to] their house and they’d be playing it, and it would be really weird,” he tells StarWars.com, laughing. As a joke, Monaghan would sit near friends, echoing the game’s dialogue or Cal’s grunts and screams as they happened on-screen. “I remember my friends being really tripped out. ‘What’s happening?!’”

In Jedi: Fallen Order, set during the age of the Empire and Jedi-hunting Inquisitors, Cal was just looking to lay low and exist until fate intervened. Though his training was incomplete, he was thrust back into the fight and the ways of the Jedi; the rest is gaming history. Jedi: Fallen Order went on to become one of the most beloved Star Wars games, and Cal a modern fan favorite — so much so that you can currently purchase Cal’s Legacy Lightsaber Hilt from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in the Disneyland Park in California and the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, the result of a fan vote…

The Next STAR WARS Film

AUDIO PODCAST – “Here we go again”, as Threepio once famously said. Another rumored STAR WARS film is in the works, this one coming from Damon Lindelof and targeting a December 2025 release. What’s Next for Animated Ahsoka?

Here’s the latest from: The Direct – Star Wars

When Rosario Dawson was cast as Ahsoka in live-action, many fans thought that it might mean the end of the much beloved animated version of the character, who was voiced by Ashley Eckstein.

Thankfully, that wasn’t the case, as she returned to voice the character in three installments of the recently released Tales of the Jedi on Disney+. But where will she pop up next?

Chronologically, the next time Ahsoka is seen after her final episode of Tales is in Star Wars: Rebels, where she’s revealed to be the mysterious Rebel Fulcrum. However, after her final appearance there, the Star Wars timeline catches up to where the live-action content is now.

On the animated side, she could still end up in Star Wars: The Bad Batch at some point, which takes place shortly after Revenge of the Sith—a lot of that time remains unaccounted for. Or could it be an unannounced project? According to the actress, not even she knows…

Lucasfilm Worried About Next Movie?

Here’s the latest from: The Direct – Star Wars

For the time being, the next Star Wars film is scheduled for a December 2025 theatrical release. The previously slated move, Rogue Squadron, won’t be meeting its 2023 window and has instead been shelved. Given the current trend at Lucasfilm, the odds of a movie being ready in three years’ time almost seems like an impossibility.

It’s been abundantly clear for years that internal turmoil has stalled the film development process for the company since the completion of the sequel trilogy. This was confirmed last week when Lucasfilm SVP Michelle Rejwan was demoted. The producer was tasked with overseeing Rogue Squadron’s development – in addition to other new films – and was relieved of her duties following too many creative difficulties.

Now three years removed from the last silver-screen experience, Star Wars fans are itching to get back into theaters for a journey into the galaxy far, far away. That time is still a few years away, at best, and it’s not one that Lucasfilm is particularly looking forward to. With so much riding on the next theatrical title, Lucasfilm executives are actually worried about the franchise’s next steps…

Disney’s Next Star Wars Movie Gets Delayed

Here’s the latest from: The Direct – Star Wars

Disney+ has allowed the Star Wars galaxy to expand more rapidly than ever, even through the struggles of the pandemic. Between more stories with fan-favorite characters, new forms of storytelling, and a whole new era of the franchise, Star Wars has grown on Disney+, but what happened to the theatrical blockbusters?

Although Star Wars currently has movies in the works from Taika Waititi, Kevin Feige, Rian Johnson, and more legendary creatives, progress has proven slow. Only Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron has been formally revealed for a December 2023 release, with comments indicating Waititi’s movie might arrive first.

Amid the mess of Star Wars’ theatrical future, a new report surfaced that may reveal things have gotten even worse as the wait continues for the franchise’s first movie since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker….
