Meet Mace before he was a Jedi Master.
StarWars.com Team
Mace Windu has proven to be one of Star Wars’ most popular Jedi. From hanging out with Yoda on the Jedi Council, to besting Jango Fett, to taking on Darth Sidious, few guardians of peace and justice have left as great an impact. (He even teamed up, buddy-cop style, with Jar Jar Binks in a memorable Star Wars: The Clone Wars whodunnit. Bombad.) Little is known about Mace’s younger years, however, and thanks to Marvel that will soon change.
The House of Ideas’ Star Wars: Mace Windu miniseries kicks off next month, dialing back the clock for a Mace story set before the Clone Wars — and before the purple-sabered Windu was even a Jedi Master. In StarWars.com’s first look at issue #1, Mace arrives at the ocean moon of Devshi, hot on the trail of some escaped droid convicts…

Long time Star Wars fans have been used to a certain version of Commander Cody’s story for years. In Star Wars Legends he remained with the Empire training stormtroopers. The latest episode of The Bad Batch has changed all that, so today we’ll look at both versions of the story and discuss why the change was made.

Wall-E director Andrew Stanton, who co-wrote the final two episodes of Disney+‘s Obi-Wan Kenobi, has had some challenges with the restrictions working on the Star Wars series regarding the canon storyline.
Lucasfilm and Disney’s series Obi-Wan Kenobi wrapped up its six-episode run some months ago. While it didn’t take the world by storm, it was still a very popular show in its own right.
Kenobi, of course, saw Ewan McGregor’s legendary Jedi Master take on Darth Vader in a high-stakes rematch. The entire season was driving toward the former friends’ fateful lightsaber clash on an unnamed planet.
Now, the Star Wars franchise’s sense of canon has always been somewhat free-flowing, but the live-action properties, at least, are seemingly made to follow a strict sense of continuity. And it seems that Andrew Stanton, who helped write Kenobi’s fifth and sixth chapters, took some issue with these limitations…

Andor has captured the attention of Star Wars fans across the world. The latest Disney+ series may not have the same gigantic audience as the likes of Obi-Wan or The Mandalorian, but it’s being hailed critically as the best of the bunch.
It certainly came as a surprise to many, seeing as how the show stars a character who wasn’t even the lead of his debut movie. Yet, he’s now managing to lead some of the best storytelling in the franchise.
While it’s previously been touted that the series is very much telling its own contained story, there have still been plenty of Easter Eggs for fans to uncover. After all, with the show being about the birth of the Rebellion, it’s going to have to connect to some things.
However, now an unexpected connection between the show and a big movie has been revealed—and it involves the polarizing film, The Last Jedi….

Leading up to Andor‘s three-episode debut, the Star Wars fan base was expecting the series to be a stand-alone story in more ways than one.
In addition to being a spin-off and a prequel to 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, where audiences already know the fate of its primary character, Andor was seen as a passion project by showrunner Tony Gilroy.
Now, even though Gilroy penned Rogue One, he isn’t as deep into the Star Wars lore as Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, nor was Andor intended to be a continuation of their Mando-Verse.
Therefore, few fans were expecting Skywalker connections or the presence of a Jedi. In fact, it was up for debate as to whether Vader would have a role or even ignite his saber.
But as Andor continues to impress fans and critics with its brilliant subtlety and quality, the show has surprised the same with its Jedi references and potential connections. …

Sony sent the Star Wars fandom into a frenzy with its Fall 2021 PlayStation Showcase as it revealed a remake of the beloved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The legendary remake was confirmed to be coming from Aspyr Media as a PS5 console launch exclusive, but no release date was announced.
The Star Wars RPG debuted in 2003 as players took control of their own Jedi to adventure the galaxy in pursuit of Darth Malak. Players had the ability to choose between three classes and earn both Light and Dark Side points to determine which side of the force they align with, all while taking on round-based waves of combat against enemies.
Bloomberg recently offered a disappointing update on the project in July as Aspyr delayed the game indefinitely, firing its art director and design director. The release timeframe was reportedly up in the air even within the studio as Aspyr initially targeted a 2022 release, while many developers believed the remake wouldn’t be complete until at least 2025.
Now, in the wake of last month’s unfortunate news regarding the remake, a new report may have offered a more optimistic turn on events….
