Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures Returns December 8

All seven episodes of the third season of “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures,” Lucasfilm’s original animated series, will debut December 8 on Disney+. Set during the High Republic era, “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” follows Jedi Younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs, as they study the ways of the Force, learn from Jedi Master Yoda, explore the galaxy, and help citizens and creatures in need.

The trailer gives fans a sneak peek into the Younglings’ upcoming adventures. This season, they’ll face off against Rek Minuu, a mischievous master droidsmith, and befriend Dotti, a beloved local shop owner known for her droid-fixing skills, and a trio of new droid companions: Beepers, Dozer, and Gigi.

Season 3 of “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” stars Ja’Siah Young as Kai Brightstar, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs, Emma Berman as Nash Durango, Trey Murphy as Cyrus Vuundir/Taborr, Gunnar Sizemore as Wes Vinik, and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda. Season 3 introduces Rek Minuu, voiced by Mason Wertheimer, and Dotti, voiced by April Winchell. Jamaal Avery Jr, who voiced Kai Brightstar in Season 1, voices Padawan Kai.

Produced by Lucasfilm in collaboration with Wild Canary for Disney+. “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” Season 3 is executive produced by Lucasfilm’s James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, and Josh Rimes. Michael Olson is showrunner and executive producer; Elliot M. Bour is supervising director and executive producer. The series is composed by Matthew Margeson. Production Services by Icon Creative Studio.

There was no shortage of things to talk about last week, but today, it’s going to be a slightly slower edition. Today, we’ll discuss Star Wars sequel trilogy plans and how Netflix’s big viewership data dump could affect the Streaming Wars.

This past week has been the traditional busy time where everyone is trying to get their things in order before the holiday break, and that also happened to me. So many things to do, so little sleep. But I’m on the other side now, so hopefully, you’ll be soon too. Looking ahead, we have a few days before Christmas Day with a ton of new stuff, from Zack Snyder’s Star Wars wannabe Rebel Moon (which is getting destroyed by early reviews) to the event of the month for the Star Wars News Net *staff: the release of the Percy Jackson series on Disney Plus…

‘Star Wars’ New Release Calendar Removes December 2025 Date…

Adds Two Films in 2026

Disney has announced that they will no longer be releasing a Star Wars film on December 19, 2025. Instead, they are planning on releasing two feature films in 2026, seven months apart, on May 22, 2026, and December 18, 2026.

The first film on that list will come out just three weeks after Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is released in theaters (Disney has also moved around Marvel’s release calendar). The company has not announced which movies will come out on each date. However, the most likely scenario is that this is the Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy-directed film they were targeting for 2025 and that due to the writers’ strike, they had to press Pause on for the moment. Meanwhile, the December date is likely the Dave Filoni-directed film that will culminate the overarching story told in The Mandalorian and spin-off shows during the New Republic era…

Lindelof Movie Taking December 2025 Slot?

More news on the Damon Lindelof-written Star Wars movie has come into focus from Jeff Sneider, who was the first to report that Lindelof was developing a Star Wars movie.

About 19 minutes into his podcast The Hot Mic, the conversation towards Star Wars and specifically the recent news about Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy being hired to direct the movie scripted by Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson. While Star Wars movies as of late have entered periods of development hell while Lucasfilm paves a cinematic future not solely dependent on the Skywalker Family, Sneider explained that he was confident this film will be the next one in theaters…
