In The Acolyte, a Jedi is revealed to have taken the Barash Vow, but what does that mean?
While the Jedi Order has clear and strict rules for its members, the path for every Jedi remains unique. In The Acolyte’s second episode, fans of Star Wars comics may have recognized the term Barash Vow from the scene where the assassin Mae confronts Jedi Master Torbin. But what does it mean?
Individuals who take the Barash Vow remain Jedi, but voluntarily choose to temporarily stop taking action on behalf of the Order. Author Charles Soule, who created the Barash Vow, described Jedi who take it as those “who feel they have done something deeply wrong — particularly a misinterpretation of what they believe the Force wanted them to do — and while they don’t leave the Order, they decide to sit and listen to the Force until they better understand themselves and what it’s saying.”…
What is an Acolyte in Star Wars? Have we tried playing Star Wars Hunters? These questions and more answered in this week’s Q&A!

Whether you already love Star Wars: The High Republic or want to give it a try, here’s everything you need to know about this exciting period of Star Wars storytelling.
In 1977, audiences heard that “for over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice.” What was Obi-Wan Kenobi actually referring to? Now we know.
Centuries before Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and the rise of Palpatine’s Galactic Empire, there was a true golden age of the Jedi Order. With glimmering golden robes and a hopeful Order at the precipice of change, this period of previously unexplored time in the galaxy far, far away has now been deemed as Star Wars: The High Republic. The program was constructed to have a story and a format for everyone, with tales told in adult, YA, and middle grade novels, comics, manga, and more. Each format can be read on its own or readers can check out more than one format to get more of the story…
Crosshair has FINALLY turned against the Empire. He’s being held in Mount Tantiss now, so what does the Empire have planned for him? That’s what we’re speculating on today.

The concept art for Star Wars Andor matches up VERY well with the final version of the show…except for this one image showing Cassian flying a starfighter. What happened to that scene? Is it a hint for what’s to come in season two?

Pedro Pascal has become one of the most recognizable leading actors in Hollywood due, in part, to a meteoric rise to fame as the star of The Mandalorian, the man behind the mask of Din Djarin’s gleaming armor.
In fact, it’s not unusual for Pascal to hear one of the Disney+ series’ most quotable lines while he’s out and about in his daily life. “I love walking down the street and then randomly, you know, just forgetting myself,” he tells StarWars.com. “And then somebody passes by me and says, ‘This is the Way.’” Sometimes he gamely says it back, as his character might in conversation with The Armorer. Other times, he takes the opportunity to have a little fun with the fan, pointing this way or that. “That’s the way? Oh, this is the way! Yes, of course.”
It’s all part of Pascal’s laidback charm, soft-spoken with a quiet gratitude for the five years he’s spent playing the eponymous hero of The Mandalorian so far. “I’m paralyzed at the thought that five years have gone by,” he says jokingly. “And then pretty soon five more. This is a different kind of interview than I was expecting…

“What a Piece of Junk!”
Few Star Wars fans may realize that, in 1985, the Millennium Falcon underwent a few “special modifications” to fly once again in a low-budget thriller called Evils of the Night. Well, not really — it actually just appeared on the poster for the B-movie schmaltzfest, sporting a second cockpit along with a cast of strangely recognizable names: Tina Louise (that’s Ginger from Gilligan’s Island), John Carradine, and Julie Newmar (Catwoman!).
There must have been some behind the scenes jitters when it came to marketing the movie on video, since the poster artwork was changed to make the Falcon much less recognizable:
This is the second time we’ve seen the Falcon used on a B-movie poster.
