Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord Teaser Trailer and First Poster Arrive

Here’s the latest from: StarWars.Com

Executive producers break down new characters and locations from the animated series, which premieres on Disney+ April 6, 2026, with the full cast announcement and a first look at the story to come.

By Kristin Baver

With a velvety growl, Maul himself invites you to look more closely at a galaxy reshaped by the Empire in Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. Today, the first teaser trailer and poster for the animated series arrived, giving fans our first glimpse at the world of Janix and the machinations of the underworld playing out in an era near the beginning of Emperor Palpatine’s reign.

Beginning with a two-episode premiere on Disney+ April 6, 2026, and two episodes each week leading to a finale on Star Wars Day, May the 4th, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord picks up after the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, for a pulpy adventure that finds Maul plotting to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. There, he crosses paths with a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan who may just be the apprentice he is seeking to aid him in his relentless pursuit for revenge….

A Trip to England, Random Stop and…

Here’s the latest from Rancho Obi-Wan

Let’s take a look back to the 80’s of a story about how a trip to England, and a random stop at a petrol station, led to the discovery Star Wars “Star-Badges” and quest to complete the collection!

In the early part of 1989 I was traveling around England. Our coach pulled into a petrol station in the little town of Moreton-in-Marsh to refuel and all the passengers disembarked to stretch their legs and stock-up on snacks for the road. At the checkout counter, I happened to notice a familiar sight: the Star Wars logo. Being the late-eighties, it was not a common image to see in a retail setting since it had been several years since the last movie and there was no expectation of any new material anytime soon from that galaxy far, far away. Always on the lookout for Star Wars merchandise, I made my way up to the counter and discovered a wire rack display with an arched cardboard backdrop touting the famous logo in red and surrounded by a semi-circle of six metal buttons (badges as they are called in the United Kingdom) featuring art of Star Wars characters and ships. These weren’t just any badges, they were “Star-Badges!”…

The ONLY Rakata to Keep THE FORCE and Why

The Rakata were a species so cruel that the Force itself seemed to abandon them, treating the dark side not as something to understand but as fuel to burn the galaxy in conquest and slavery. Yet even among them there was an outlier. Soa, the Infernal One, was the most powerful Rakata predator to ever live, a conqueror of a thousand worlds and a ruler of Korriban who viewed the Force as something greater than mere power. In this video, we explore Soa’s rise within the Infinite Empire, his control of Korriban and interactions with the Sith species, the formation of his Infernal Council, and why the Rakata themselves ultimately turned against him. We break down how he was sealed within the Eternity Vault on Belsavis, why he retained his connection to the Force when his species lost theirs, and how his awakening during the Galactic War forced both Jedi and Sith to confront an ancient dark side threat neither could ignore. This is the story of the Rakata’s greatest monster, the limits of raw power, and why the Sith ultimately surpassed the Infinite Empire.

WhatCulture Star Wars

WhatCulture Star Wars is dedicated to all things Star Wars. We’ll have all the usual lists, features, and news, plus there’ll be Ups & Downs for all the latest shows and new Star Wars movies. The force is with us!

Ah, the long and winding road…

The site address may be new but the site itself is not, as the post history will demonstrate.

The site itself has existed in one form or another since way back in the early 2010’s (specifically the archive section anyway).

It began again proper in 2022 when I had two seperate sites called Cinema, TV & Streaming News and The Star Wars Archive (also Holonet News, etc. etc. etc. indecisive??? sighs sure thing).

As time went on I merged The Star Wars Archive with Cinema, TV & Streaming News becoming Cine/Wars.

This went on for some time until Cine/Wars changed to It’s All Entertainment and it was then that I finally bit the bullet and moved the Star Wars content to its own site, which it should have been all along!

So, we are here, now and as I signed up for two years hosting you’re stuck with me.

It may sound absolutely insane but I’m not in it for the hits, I just love doing it, it keeps me busy and that’s the way I like it!

I’m just going to keep plugging away in my little corner of the Star Wars universe, having fun!

There is no doubt about the talent that brought us, and continue to do so, the Star Wars shows, books, comics, games etc. that we all love but there are a lot of extremely dedicated and talented fans out there that bring content to us on a daily basis and it is what I try to bring here at It’s All Star Wars, both official and fan content.

I’m not much for social media but I do run the sister site It’s All Entertainment and have a few YouTube channels, It’s All Entertainment Video and of course, It’s All Star Wars Video so subscribe to ’em if ya want.

Thanks for reading!

Max!

How do you make 100 new Star Wars aliens? In an exclusive interview with creature designer Neal Scanlan, dive into his Oscar-nominated work on Episode VII a decade later.

By StarWars.com Team

As we mark the 10th anniversary of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which premiered in theaters December 18, 2015, StarWars.com looks back at the film that launched the sequel trilogy.

Who is your favorite creature or alien from Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Is it brave Resistance pilot Ello Asty (coyly named after a Beastie Boys’ song)? Is it the conniving Unkar Plutt, played by super fan Simon Pegg? Is it the lumbering luggabeast? Maz Kanata? The glowing-red-eyed nightwatcher worm that pops his head up for five seconds right before the 10-minute mark of the film?

Regardless of who it may be (it’s the nightwatcher worm), chances are that Neal Scanlan, the 2015 film’s creature shop head, helped to bring them to life.

Scanlan has seemingly done it all. He started his career at 19 years old as a stop motion designer, then working as an animatronics designer and supervisor (including for the Jim Henson Creature Shop for nearly a decade). After scoring an Academy Award for his work on 1995’s Babe, Scanlan started his own studio in 1996. The Neal Scanlan Studio worked on a score of incredible films, including Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. At one point, he retired….

Leia Organa and Rey Return in Star Wars: Legacy

Here’s the latest from: StarWars.Com

Author Madeleine Roux takes StarWars.com inside her first Star Wars novel, a new chapter in the Skywalker saga exploring what it means to carry on the tradition of the Jedi Order

By Kristin Baver

Princess Leia Organa and Rey Skywalker are among the powerful women of the galaxy featured on a sleeve tattoo author Madeleine Roux got to celebrate her Star Wars fandom.

And next summer, the last Jedi and her new Master will return in Roux’s first Star Wars novel, Star Wars: Legacy, which was announced today during the Lucasfilm Publishing panel at New York Comic Con.

Speaking exclusively to StarWars.com on the news, the New York Times bestselling author says the book will explore the characters’ relationship in the months between the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In the aftermath of losing Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren’s refusal to return to the light, Rey and Ben Solo’s mother, Leia, join forces to repair the broken Skywalker lightsaber and the shattered legacy of the Jedi Order.

Fans and readers will recognize Roux’s name from the anthology collection From a Certain Point of View, where Roux penned an unseen moment on the surface of Alderaan for the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope. The short story, “Eclipse,” follows Breha Organa from the harrowing news that her daughter Leia’s ship, the Tantive IV, has been lost to the queen’s final moments with her husband, Bail Organa, as the Death Star casts a terrifying shadow over their world. “I really swung for it,” Roux says now of the pitch. “I was sure they were going to say no because it seemed like such a big swing. But I just thought, well, Breha Organa is technically in that movie if you squint. What would it be like to be on Alderaan as it’s imploding from the Death Star?”…

The Cast and Creators Reunite for Pieces of the Past

Here’s the latest from: StarWars.Com

Even more mash-ups and hilarity are in store for fans as four new parts debut on Disney+ this week.

By Amy Richau

For LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, the four piece sequel series that follows the events of last year’s LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, the goal was clear: take more risks, include more new characters (‘Hello there’ evil Obi-Wan!), and keep the spirit of Star Wars at the heart of the story while enjoying the unique elements of the LEGO universe.

Returning stars Gaten Matarazzo and Tony Revolori, who play brothers Sig and Dev Greebling (AKA Darth Dev) in both series, fully embraced their chance to build on the brotherly bond they developed over the first four piece set. A big part of that was recording together — something the pair didn’t get a chance to do the first go-round. “It was complicated to arrange everyone’s schedule at the same time,” writer and executive producer Benji Samit tells StarWars.com, “but we made an effort to be able to record them together, and it made their chemistry pop even more.”

And after seeing how much fans loved Rebuild the Galaxy, Revolori felt comfortable taking more risks. In the recording booth for the sequel, which premieres on Disney+ September 19, Revolori says he realized, “I can relax a little bit. I can play a little bit more.”…

Breaking Down Luthen and Kleya

Here’s the latest from: StarWars.Com

The actors speak to StarWars.com about the motivations and mindset of their characters in Andor’s last story arc.

By Amy Richau

Their operatives “have friends everywhere,” but it’s the complex bond between Luthen Rael and Kleya Marki that helps deliver vital intel to the Rebellion.

After one of Luthen’s long-time undercover ISB assets, Lonni Jung, sends out an emergency call, things start to go downhill fast for Luthen and Kleya in Andor’s tenth episode. After years of living double lives secretly working against the Empire while publicly running a gallery in Coruscant, “Make It Stop” gives a backstory to Luthen and Kleya’s relationship intercut with Kleya’s gut-wrenching actions after Luthen makes the ultimate sacrifice to avoid Imperial interrogation.

Throughout both of Andor’s seasons, Luthen was shown to be a cunning, and at times ruthless, rebel insurgent, willing to risk his life and the lives of others for the larger goal of taking down the Empire. But Skarsgård was never shocked by his character’s behavior…
