The hunt for The Mandalorian and Grogu bounties begins! The brand-new Star Wars: “Most Wanted” global campaign was announced today by director Jon Favreau ahead of New York Toy Fair 2026. Inspired by stories old and new from across the galaxy, this year-long campaign features all-new merchandise inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu, including toys, apparel, collectibles, accessories, and more! Favreau, director, writer, and producer of The Mandalorian and Grogu, took to the stage in New York City to reveal the very first merchandise inspired by the forthcoming film.

During the event, Favreau spoke about Star Wars’ unique history with toys, recalling the anticipation around Kenner toy vouchers the Christmas after Star Wars: A New Hope sent pop culture into a frenzy in 1977. The director revealed that eagle-eyed fans may even notice a few nods to old toys in this summer’s The Mandalorian and Grogu.

“As a collector of Star Wars toys myself since early childhood, I understand what an important storytelling extension they can be,” says the filmmaker. “For many fans my age, the toys were how we lived in the Star Wars galaxy between film releases. It’s an honor to continue that tradition with The Mandalorian and Grogu.”

When asked what he could share about the upcoming film, Favreau delighted fans with an update about Mando’s little green companion. “Grogu has leveled up a bit,” he teases. “We saw that he trained with Luke, so he’s got a little Jedi influence. And he’s also an apprentice Mandalorian. So now it’s time for his dad/teacher to bring him on adventures with him.”

Din Djarin and his charge pay homage to classic ads of the past with a new commercial

I can hear the wails and gnashing of teeth already from a certain contingent of fandom who wanted MORE than this…a harmless and fun trailer!!!

A tense showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots was interrupted today by the Mandalorian and Grogu dashing through the snow on a wagon pulled by a team of tauntauns.

The Big Game spot features Din Djarin and Grogu riding through a snowy landscape. Instead of a team of Clydesdale horses, the vehicle is pulled along by a group of tauntauns. Take the reins and watch an extended version of the spot below:

The Mandalorian and Grogu, directed by Jon Favreau, follows an all-new adventure for legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu. The film, which also stars Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White, is produced by Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with music composed by Ludwig Göransson.

The Mandalorian and Grogu are embarking on a new adventure — to movie theaters.

Directed by Jon Favreau, and produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian & Grogu will go into production in 2024.

Pedro Pascal has become one of the most recognizable leading actors in Hollywood due, in part, to a meteoric rise to fame as the star of The Mandalorian, the man behind the mask of Din Djarin’s gleaming armor.

In fact, it’s not unusual for Pascal to hear one of the Disney+ series’ most quotable lines while he’s out and about in his daily life. “I love walking down the street and then randomly, you know, just forgetting myself,” he tells StarWars.com. “And then somebody passes by me and says, ‘This is the Way.’” Sometimes he gamely says it back, as his character might in conversation with The Armorer. Other times, he takes the opportunity to have a little fun with the fan, pointing this way or that. “That’s the way? Oh, this is the way! Yes, of course.”

It’s all part of Pascal’s laidback charm, soft-spoken with a quiet gratitude for the five years he’s spent playing the eponymous hero of The Mandalorian so far. “I’m paralyzed at the thought that five years have gone by,” he says jokingly. “And then pretty soon five more. This is a different kind of interview than I was expecting…

Mando and Grogu Return to Marvel Comics in The Mandalorian Season 2 Adaptation

Following the House of Ideas’ bestselling recreation of Season 1, the story continues in a new eight-issue series.

The clan of two will be back at Marvel Comics.

StarWars.com is excited to announce that Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2, an eight-issue adaptation of the second season of the hit Disney+ series, is on the way. Like Marvel’s first The Mandalorian series, which concludes next week, every issue will retell the story of one episode. The Mandalorian Season 2 will begin with “Chapter 9: The Marshal,” adapting a memorable episode in which Mando encounters Marshal Cobb Vanth, setting the stage for major events to come.

Mando and Grogu aren’t the only duo coming back, however: The current creative team of writer Rodney Barnes and artist Georges Jeanty are returning for the series. While Jeanty will kick off The Mandalorian Season 2 with art for issue 1, he’ll be joined by artist Steven Cummings, fresh off the Star Wars event series Hidden Empire, who will be penciling every other issue.

“Adapting The Mandalorian has been a pure treat!” Barnes tells StarWars.com. “The series embodies all aspects of the Star Wars universe: the myth, the mystery, and spectacle that made me fall in love with it so long ago. It’s an honor to be part of this project!”

“I am thrilled to be able to be part of the world of The Mandalorian and get to draw some of his adventures,” adds Cummings. “The Lone Wolf and Cub via the Old West vibe of the show has me excited to pick up my pencil every day and dive in.”
