Star Wars | The High Republic: Light of the Jedi

Star Wars – The High Republic: Light of the Jedi

Welcome to the golden age of the galaxy! The Republic is expanding to the furthest stars thanks to brave hyperspace scouts, and worlds are thriving under the wise and caring leadership of the Senate. Plus, with the powerful Jedi Order keeping the peace, the citizens of the galaxy feel safe from any danger. But even in the brightest times, shadows can emerge and some threats can’t be predicted.

In “Star Wars – The High Republic: Light of the Jedi,” disaster strikes when a ship is torn apart in hyperspace, sending dangerous shrapnel flying towards a peaceful system. The Jedi quickly respond to the call for help, but the situation proves to be even more challenging than they could have imagined. As destruction rains down upon the alliance they helped to build, the Jedi must rely on their trust in the Force to save billions of lives.

But the hyperspace disaster is just the beginning, as a deadly threat lurks in the darkness beyond the Republic’s borders. This sinister danger is far more dangerous than the Jedi realize, and its secret could strike fear even into their hearts.

The FORBIDDEN Jedi Title Outlawed By the High Council

There was once a forbidden rank within the Jedi Order so powerful and controversial that the High Council permanently erased it from history: the Jedi Lords. In this Star Wars Legends deep dive, we explore how Jedi Masters during the New Sith Wars were forced to rule worlds, lead armies, and govern entire systems as kings and warlords to save the collapsing Republic, only to become feared by their own Order. From the Dark Age of the Republic and the rise of the Grand Council, to the Army of Light, the Ruusan Campaign, and Darth Bane’s manipulation of the final battle, this video examines how the Jedi Lords helped end the Sith threat but ultimately sealed their own destruction. We also ask the unsettling question: if the Jedi Lords had survived into the Clone Wars, could they have resisted Order 66 and the rise of the Empire, or were they always destined to fall?

The High Republic Authors on Authors: Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong

Here’s the latest from: StarWars.Com

The Star Wars: The High Republic co-authors of Escape from Valo talk about their longtime friendship and latest collaboration.

StarWars.com Team

Authors Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong have been friends and fans of each other’s work for nearly a decade. After meeting in 2015 at the launch party for Older’s first novel, Half-Resurrection Blues, they quickly formed a mutual appreciation that went beyond the page.

Their shared beliefs in creating chaotic and flawed characters, an affinity for imagining a wide spectrum of individuals whose identities reflect the full array of real Star Wars fans, and a shorthand that includes sharing pictures of birds during brainstorming makes them uniquely suited to co-write Escape from Valo, the newest middle grade book in Star Wars: The High Republic. With a cast of kids that bring the charm of The Goonies crew to the world of Valo, their story imbues a sense of hope and self-discovery to a younger audience during a period of anarchy in which the Nihil remain victorious.

In the latest installment in the StarWars.com series celebrating Phase III in Star Wars: The High Republic, which continues next week with Escape from Valo arriving January 30 and the monthly release of Older’s ongoing Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures comic series tomorrow, listen in as the two writers reflect on their collaboration, their fictional kids, and avian character vibes…

With glimmering golden robes and a hopeful Order at the precipice of change, this period of previously unexplored time in the galaxy far, far away has now been deemed as Star Wars: The High Republic. The program was constructed to have a story and a format for everyone, with tales told in adult, YA, and middle grade novels, comics, manga, and more. Each format can be read on its own or readers can check out more than one format to get more of the story…

Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Comes to an End

Here’s the latest from: StarWars.Com

By Dan Brooks

Get a first look at the final issues of Dark Horse’s all-ages comic, and hear reflections from writer Daniel José Older.

Sav Malagán has been on an adventure to remember. The restless Padawan star of Dark Horse’s all-ages comic, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures, did what almost any teenager would, given the chance: join a motley crew of pirates (including Maz Kanata) for some planet-hopping action. As a result, she’s tussled with pirate gangs, traveled the stars, and had to explain it all to her master. The delightful series wraps up this week with issues 6, 7, and 8 all arriving on Wednesday, June 28; to mark the occasion, StarWars.com caught up with writer Daniel José Older to talk about crafting The High Republic Adventures, and is excited to offer a first look at its final installments…

Star Wars | The High Republic: Cataclysm

Star Wars – The High Republic: Cataclysm

In “Star Wars – The High Republic: Cataclysm,” the excitement continues after the events of “Convergence.” The Jedi are racing to put an end to the Forever War by confronting the Path of the Open Hand. The planets Eiram and E’ronoh are on the brink of peace, but when disaster strikes at a treaty signing on Jedha, violence erupts once again. The Jedi, alongside royal heirs Phan-tu Zenn and Xiri A’lbaran, suspect that outside forces are behind the conflict, and the Path of the Open Hand seems to be the main culprit.

Time is running out, and the Jedi must divide their attention between stopping the violence and investigating the Path. Gella Nattai turns to Axel Greylark, the Chancellor’s son, for help, even though she doesn’t fully trust him. Will he aid the Jedi in their mission, or will he be tempted by the Path’s promise of freedom?

As they prepare to face their formidable foe on Dalna, the Jedi and their allies must rely on their trust in the Force and each other to survive.

Star Wars | The High Republic: Convergence

Star Wars – The High Republic: Convergence

It’s an exciting time for exploration in the galaxy as Jedi are traveling far and wide to discover more about the Force and the countless worlds and creatures connected by it. At the same time, the Republic is working hard to unite planets near and far to build a stronger and more connected community among the stars.

Unfortunately, the planets Eiram and E’ronoh are feeling the growing pains of a galaxy with limited resources and unlimited ambition. The animosity between the two planets has led to escalating conflict for the past five years, putting surrounding systems in danger. But there’s hope for peace when the royal heirs from both planets plan to marry.

However, things take a turn for the worse when an assassination attempt on the couple plunges Eiram and E’ronoh back into war. To prevent further bloodshed, Jedi Knight Gella Nattai volunteers to find the culprit, while Chancellor Kyong appoints her son, Axel Greylark, to represent the Republic’s interests in the investigation.

Axel doesn’t trust the Jedi, and Gella is a bit too serious for his taste. But if they want to get to the bottom of the conspiracy and save both worlds, they’ll have to work together. The investigation is complicated, with accusations flying and potential enemies lurking in the shadows. But with their unique skills and perspectives, Axel and Gella just might be able to bring peace back to the galaxy.
