After a lot of failed attempts over the years, 2026 will finally see the return of Star Wars to the big screen. That’s thanks to director Jon Favreau and The Mandalorian and Grogu, which is set to take off on May 22.
The majority of the story details are currently being kept under wraps, but we do have a generic plot synopsis (see below), as well as some details: Sigourney Weaver’s Colonel Ward sends Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu on a mission in the Outer Rim, in which they find Rotta the Hutt, voiced by Jeremy Allen White. During today’s Nintendo Direct, Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games revealed Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection, which will see the beloved Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) introduced to a new generation. Coming March 14 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam for $35.01, Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection features restored online play for up to 64 players, expansions to Hero Assault mode, and all previously released bonus content for both titles. As announced last week on the Disney Parks Blog, the Stellan Gios Legacy Lightsaber Hilt will be available starting November 17 — just in time for fans to celebrate Life Day — at Disney Parks and shopDisney. It’s the first Legacy Lightsaber collectible hilt inspired by Star Wars: The High Republic, the storytelling initiative set hundreds of years before Star Wars: The Phantom Menace during the prime of the Jedi Order; Stellan Gios, a Jedi Master, is a key figure in the High Republic saga.
The stunning Legacy Lightsaber hilt features a cross-saber design and gold accents befitting the time period, and is truly unique from lightsabers depicted in other eras of Star Wars. “It was so inspiring to add to the lore of the High Republic era through the design of Stellan Gios’ lightsaber,” designer Jeff Thomas tells StarWars.com. “All of the intricacies — from the colors to the filigrees, as well as the function of the cross guard, were meant to honor and celebrate the elegance of a lightsaber from a more civilized age that readers and fans can explore through the High Republic books.”…

Ahsoka Tano is journeying from the galaxy far, far away to the world of Fortnite, it was announced today. On September 26, the modern Star Wars icon will become unlockable with a purchase of the current Season’s Battle Pass.
Ahsoka’s inclusion is the latest in a series of crossovers between Lucasfilm Games and Fortnite, with previous collaborations having seen Kylo Ren, Boba Fett, and prequel characters join the game. Our favorite younglings and their friends will return when new episodes of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures arrive November 8 on Disney Junior and Disney+, it was announced today. Among the upcoming installments is a Life Day special, which finds series stars Kai, Lys, and Nubs, along with Masters Yoda and Zia, on a trip to Kashyyyk to celebrate and learn more about the Wookiees’ holiday traditions. The writer-artist, Peach Momoko, will tell an original tale, kicking off a series of stories from different creators
Superstar comics creator Peach Momoko is being set free in the galaxy far, far away.
StarWars.com is thrilled to announce that Momoko will helm a new Star Wars: Visions one-shot from Marvel, writing and drawing her own original story. Currently titled Star Wars: Visions – Peach Momoko #1, the issue will be the first in a new series of tales from comics creators untethered to previous Star Wars storytelling, very much in the spirit of Lucasfilm’s animated anthology of the same name.
“I really enjoy thinking about how to tell my own version of Star Wars, while keeping in mind the concepts of the original universe,” Momoko tells StarWars.com…

Today, Disney+ and Lucasfilm announced that “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” Season 1 continues with six all-new episodes. The new episodes will debut on Disney+ beginning August 2, 2023, with more episodes to come later this year. In total, “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” Season 1 will be a 25-episode run.
Set during The High Republic era, the animated series follows Jedi Younglings as they study the ways of the Force and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi. The series was recently nominated for a 2023 Television Critics Association Award and was awarded a Common Sense Seal from Common Sense Media, which acknowledges outstanding media that families can enjoy together.
The first seven episodes from the series, which premiered May 4, saw the Younglings train with Master Yoda and Master Zia at the Jedi temple on Tenoo, meet pilot and fast friend Nash Durango, and clash with pirate Taborr Val Dorn. The six new episodes will follow the Younglings as they continue to hone their Force abilities and go on adventures across the galaxy.
“We’ve been thrilled to see a whole new generation fall in love with the Star Wars galaxythrough‘Young Jedi Adventures,’” says James Waugh, series executive producer and senior vice president, franchise content & strategy at Lucasfilm. “We hope to continue delighting younglings, Jedi padawans, and the fans of all ages who have declared themselves #NubsNation, with these new episodes.”
