Walking Yoda by DEEP ROY

Kenya-born, British actor, puppeteer and stuntman DEEP ROY has had a very distinguished career working with the likes of Tim Burton as ALL the Oompa Loompas in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, JJ Abrams in the Star Trek movies and George Lucas, Richard Marquand & Irvin Kershner in two Star Wars Original Trilogy films. He has played 3 different species and he talks about them here with D.J. from Star Wars 100 Interviews.

CLIVE REVILL – The Early Emperor

Originally, Emperor Palpatine’s first appearance was in The Empire Strikes Back and he was voiced by New Zealand actor, Clive Revill. The story of the image of the Early Emperor is quite whacky so listen in on this interview and be surprised by some surprising ‘force facts!’

Tim Rose played 3 parts in Return of the Jedi but almost had none, as he was fired from set by a grumpy Harrison Ford. Tion Medon Interview with BRUCE SPENCE (2020)

With Ep 2 and Ep 3 filming in Sydney, Australia…one of the countries acting legends was called in to play the part of Tion Medon. DJ got to speak to him in Sydney and in L.A. and this chat features Bruce talking about his working relationship with George Lucas, and at the time, the near commencement of the first ever live action Star Wars TV series featuring…well, him.

We return to the Original Trilogy for this week’s interview release and speak with Ken Coombs. He was one of 250 extras used in a scene in Return of the Jedi. Find out what he witnessed right here.

We almost killed Mark Hamill by RON HONE – Special Effects department on Empire Strikes Back

In London, Darryl James (author of Trigger World: Elite) hosted a Star Wars Tea Party where one of the attendees was Ron Hone who worked on Special Effects for The Empire Strikes Back. He assisted with IG-88, 2-1B, Yoda, R2 and the Probot plus in this segment, he talks about coming close to killing Mark Hamill in one scene.
