Hollywood is broken. The strikes have made every project a tentative hope. People are playing dirty. The emotions of the labor force is likely going to get angrier. Once writers begin to lose their homes, they will have nothing left to lose but to see the strike through or it was all for nothing.
In the last week, I have had meetings with sources about the state of Lucasfilm, Star Wars, and Disney. As you would expect, everything is in a liminal space at the moment. Anyone, even on the inside, who pretends they know what is going to happen is probably too confident in their analysis. I like to report facts as much as I can. The only fact I know in this article, is there is a plan or a concept Lucasfilm may or may not use. Even though they’re often wrong, Disney likes to look at possible outcomes and take the smartest path…

You’ve never eaten pog soup?
Any Mandalorian worth their armor was raised on pog soup. Per the ways of Mandalore, until a foundling becomes of age or is reunited with its own kind, they are under the care of the one who finds them. And then there’s the soup. The clan-based Mandalorians are bound by Creed and code, and as a rite of passage each foundling must drink pog soup — as we learned in The Mandalorian “Chapter 18: The Mines of Mandalore.”
This creamy, fragrant soup is a sensory overload, seasoned with aromatic spices and blended fresh vegetables. Coconut milk adds a final creamy touch for this vegan and gluten-free meal that even a foundling can’t resist on a cold galactic night…

Following the House of Ideas’ bestselling recreation of Season 1, the story continues in a new eight-issue series.
The clan of two will be back at Marvel Comics.
StarWars.com is excited to announce that Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2, an eight-issue adaptation of the second season of the hit Disney+ series, is on the way. Like Marvel’s first The Mandalorian series, which concludes next week, every issue will retell the story of one episode. The Mandalorian Season 2 will begin with “Chapter 9: The Marshal,” adapting a memorable episode in which Mando encounters Marshal Cobb Vanth, setting the stage for major events to come.
Mando and Grogu aren’t the only duo coming back, however: The current creative team of writer Rodney Barnes and artist Georges Jeanty are returning for the series. While Jeanty will kick off The Mandalorian Season 2 with art for issue 1, he’ll be joined by artist Steven Cummings, fresh off the Star Wars event series Hidden Empire, who will be penciling every other issue.
“Adapting The Mandalorian has been a pure treat!” Barnes tells StarWars.com. “The series embodies all aspects of the Star Wars universe: the myth, the mystery, and spectacle that made me fall in love with it so long ago. It’s an honor to be part of this project!”
“I am thrilled to be able to be part of the world of The Mandalorian and get to draw some of his adventures,” adds Cummings. “The Lone Wolf and Cub via the Old West vibe of the show has me excited to pick up my pencil every day and dive in.”

The circle is complete.
As Marvel’s adaptation of The Mandalorian reaches its conclusion, the Child is in the hands of the Empire, with Moff Gideon taking control of the situation. The Mandalorian and his friends prepare to make their final stand — and to save the little being from Gideon. However dangerous, the situation is one similar to events from Din Djarin’s past.
In StarWars.com’s first look at The Mandalorian #8, scout troopers hold the Child captive — while a flashback into Din Djarin’s past shows why he feels such a bond with his young charge…
The Mandalorian #8, written by Rodney Barnes and illustrated by Georges Jeanty, with a cover by Sara Pichelli & Federico Bee, arrives March 1 and is available for pre-order now on ComiXology and at your local comic shop…
Even though Star Wars Celebration and the 2022 D23 Expo have both come and gone, Star Wars still have no answers as to when that galaxy far, far away will return to the big screen.
While movies helmed by Kevin Feige, Taika Waititi, and Rian Johnson are supposedly still in the works, current Star Wars storytelling appears to be on Disney+ with Andor, The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka set to take center stage in the coming weeks and into 2023.
Of the three live-action series, the ongoing story that Star Wars films once offered exists in The Mandalorian and will continue in Ahsoka, both of which are overseen by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
Since Lucasfilm has yet to fill Star Wars’ absence at the box office, some are now wondering if Mando’s destiny extends beyond Disney+ and possibly theaters.
When Fandango asked both Rick Famuyiwa and series star, Pedro Pascal, about possibly ending The Mandalorian with a film, the director played it safe while Pascal acknowledged it as “a great idea.”…
The duo will arrive in mid-November.
